Minutes of Meeting

Board Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Fairwood West Homeowners Association Board of Trustees was called to order at 7 pm on Thursday July 12th, 2012.  Trustees in attendance were Adrian Ryneveld, David Seely, Eileen Richards and Brandy Bradford.  Also in attendance was Barb Simeona, Association Bookkeeper.

Renton Fire Department – No representative present to report.

Homeowner Appeals – There were no owners in attendance to appeal.

Community Events – Adrian reported he felt there was good garage sale participation on his street.  Eileen did not feel overall participation was a good as in the past.

Minutes Of The Previous Meeting – A motion was made, 2nd and approved to accept the June 2012 minutes as amended.  The amendments include:

Homeowner Appeals – Begin the sentence with “Homeowner”.
Pride In Ownership – Take out the word “a”.

Financial Report – Barb Simeona presented the financial report.  It was accepted as presented

Treasurer’s Report –   Ray was not present to report.

Brandy reported that sent Ray the new business license so that the BECU account can be opened.

Architectural Control – Adrian reported he received a request for a construction dumpster to be in a driveway for a week.  He gave the homeowner two weeks.  David will keep an eye on the dumpster.

Common Properties – Adrian Ryneveld reported on the Molasses Creek Issue.  There is no change at this time. 

Brandy reported that the entryway lighting repairs are still a project in process.

Brandy reported on the park play equipment.  This is still a project in process. 

Covenant Enforcement – The Board reviewed the homes in violation and the responses received.  This review resulted in one 2nd notice being sent out.

Pride In Ownership – Nothing new to report.

Renter Enforcement – Nothing at this time.

Unfinished Business – Adrian is working on a homeowner letter.

Adrian contacted Cedar River Sewer and Water regarding the damage to the sprinkler heads in the front entryway.  He spoke with Shawn Vance who is currently acting as the office manager.  He told Adrian that the damage was done by Potelco Co who is a Puget Sound Energy maintenance contractor.  David Seely was given all the information to be able to purse a claim.

The Association received an email from the attorney requesting a meeting to review the process for collecting debt.  A meeting will be setup to discuss.

Eileen received a quote for pride in ownership signs in the amount of $20.00

New Business – Nothing new to report.

The meeting adjourned at 8:31 p.m. after a motion was made, 2nd and approved to adjourn.

The next two monthly meetings of the Fairwood West Homeowners Association will be held on Thursday August 9th and then Thursday September 13th both at 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 17707 140th SE in the portable building. 

All residents are welcome to attend.
